OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) TVs are fundamentally different from the better known LED TVs in that each pixel emits it's own light. LED TVs instead have a backlight that shines through diods. For more details check out What Hi-fi's explainer. Don't get thrown off by new terms like QD-OLED and QLED. At their heart these are still OLED and LED panels.
Great for dim rooms, gaming and nearly all applications. Potentially avoid if using in a bright room or you have static images on the screen (e.g. tickers on the bottom all the time)
Better for brighter rooms and for those looking for a larger screen for the same money.
